handmade wedding centrepiece picture

This week I thought I’d take a look at DIY vintage wedding ideas. I love the thought of having something completely unique as a centrepiece, and something handmade is even more special. Now I know time restraints might make it impossible to do everything yourself, and you’re probably thinking come on Kirsty when the heck am I going to fit this in?! I’ve got a million and one things to do before the big day. But that’s the beauty of it! you can do as little or as much as you want too. You don’t have to go mad, and you can always ask friends and family to help. Delegation is the key 😉

Now I got a little, (okay a lot) carried away on Pinterest when I started looking into this as a blog idea these four images are just a small selection of what I found. You can check out the rest HERE. I love love love the idea of using records and vintage cameras, but you could sub this for something that’s more you.

You can find so much stuff in charity shops! Spend your next free day rummaging through your local ones, and I’m sure you’ll find a tonne of stuff that you can make into something FAB on a budget.

The mason jars with family pictures inside is a lovely way to remember family members that can’t be there to share the day with you. And you can always put baby pictures, or yourself and your other half, in them. Why not pick for each other… The cheesier the better if you ask me 😉

I hope some of these ideas have inspired you to get creative in the lead up to your wedding. I’ll continue to update my Pinterest board with everything I find that I love. So follow the link above to access it if you want to see more.

I’d love to see your ideas too so feel free to share them below 😀
