Wedding Fair Nottingham – Tying The Nott

Tying The Nott is the most unique wedding fair in Nottingham, and I was lucky enough to bag a spot to show my wares along with some other super cool suppliers.

This was my first fair, and I really did love every minute of it. I got to talk to some lovely couples and hear their out of this world wedding plans, and I got to meet and talk to suppliers I’ve admired (Okay stalked) on Instagram and Facebook over the past couple of years. Plus I got to see their absolutely gorgeous wedding products in the flesh!

If you’re getting married and you’re on the fence about going to wedding fairs, because you feel like they may be too salesy or pressured, I promise you they’re not. They’re actually a fab opportunity to talk to suppliers face to face, and get a feel for who they are in real life instead of through a screen or telephone. This is especially important when choosing your photographer, because we spend the whole day with you and you need to like us and feel comfortable with us. That initial meeting can give you a little insight to who we are. Sounds a bit like speed dating, doesn’t it! ?

The next wedding fair/festival I’m attending is the Unconventional Wedding Festival in May at Stamford Hall in Leicester.  I’m super excited about it because it’s an interactive experience for the people that visit. There’s going to be eight separate zones set up like real weddings, so you can have a proper gander around and interact with all things wedding! I’ll be in the fairytale zone but they also have urban, bohemian, bygone glamour, sci-fi and many more… Check the website out to get your tickets!
