Wedding Photography London – Asylum Peckham (Styled Shoot)
Wedding Photography London – A styled shoot at the Asylum in Peckham
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend an out of this world awesome styled shoot ran by The Alternatives. It was split over two days. Half of the shoot was held in my all time favourite place in London, Camden Market (I’ll be blogging this ASAP) and the other was held at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham, which is a bucket list venue for pretty much every photographer I know, and it lives up to its amazing reputation believe me!
I can assure you it’s by no way related to Del Boy and Rodney, even though it’s on there stomping-ground. Much to my disappointment, there were no dodgy chandeliers or people falling through bars! I bloody love them two plonkers! Anyhoo best get back to business before I start singing the shows theme tune again…
Jo and Jenny who run the alternatives really pulled this shoot out of the bag for us. As a photographer, it’s really important to me that I keep learning and experiencing different things, and this shoot nailed all of that with the added bonus of learning from the other photographers attending aswell. The attention to detail that goes into these shoots is mindblowing. Everything from the dress, cake and invitations are sourced to fit the theme of the weekend. As you can see from the images below nothing was missed, and the suppliers for the weekend were on top form throughout.
As a venue, the Asylum offers a fantastic opportunity to host your wedding in a beautiful historic building with lots of character. Be sure to check it out if you’re looking for a unique wedding venue in good old London town!
