Hi, I'm Kirsty (SHE/HER)
I'm a Nottingham-based wedding photographer, crazy dog lady, colour lover, Disney adult, professional overthinker and proud neuro-spicy human.
If I'm not photographing a wedding, editing one, chatting to couples or crying over someone's vows, there's a very good chance I'm saving for a Disney trip, planning a Disney trip, thinking about snacks from a Disney trip, or actually on a Disney trip.
Basically, my brain runs on weddings, dogs, colour, joy and the occasional Mickey-shaped treat.
I'm also very much a millennial
I have a deep emotional attachment to the 90s and early 00s.
I'm one good throwback playlist away from a happy dance. If your DJ drops a 90s banger, there's a very real chance I'll get fizzy with excitement. If your wedding has even a hint of nostalgic joy, I will notice it and appreciate it deeply.

I'm a little bit obsessed with people being themselves
I've always been drawn to the brilliant little things that make people who they are.
- ✦The nervous hand squeezes.
- ✦The massive belly laughs.
- ✦The way someone's face changes when they see their dog walk down the aisle.
- ✦The mate who takes the inflatable dinosaur suit assignment VERY seriously.
- ✦The quiet emotional moments in the corner that nobody else noticed because everyone was looking the other way.
That's the stuff my brain locks onto.
And honestly? I think being neuro-spicy is part of why I'm good at this job. My brain notices patterns, expressions, tiny shifts in energy and little emotional details. I'm constantly scanning a room. Not in a scary way, promise, but in an "oh my god, your nan is about to cry" or "your best mate is absolutely about to do something hilarious" kind of way.
It means I'm tuned into people. And weddings are all about people.
I will absolutely want to get to know you
I don't just work with couples, I build relationships with them, and it's one of my favourite bits of this job.
I'm not just turning up on your wedding day as "the photographer". I want to know you. Who are you? What matters to you? Who are your important humans? What excites you, and what makes you nervous? What energy are you feeling on the day?
By the time your wedding comes round, I want you to feel comfortable with me, and to know I'm a familiar face, not a stranger with a camera. That's exactly how I like it.
Why? Because when we get to know each other, I genuinely care about your wedding day. You'll be able to trust me, and together we'll get the photos that feel most like you.
I'm very much an animal person
Yes, I am absolutely a crazy dog lady. If you bring your dog to your wedding, please know I will be emotionally invested immediately.
But it's not just dogs. All furry, fluffy, feathery, scaly and slightly unexpected friends are welcome here.
Have I told you about Tallulah the tarantula, who was a guest at one of my weddings? Or Maisy the cat, who has the best RBF I've ever seen and is, quite frankly, everyone's favourite little arsehole?
Basically, if they're part of your family, they're part of the story, and I will absolutely treat them like the VIPs they clearly are.
What I'm like on a wedding day
I'm friendly, excitable, relaxed and very much on your side.
I'll hype you up when you need it, gently guide you when it helps, and quietly disappear into the background when the real moments are happening all on their own.
- ✦I don't expect you to know how to pose.
- ✦I don't expect you to suddenly become different people because there's a camera nearby.
- ✦I don't want your wedding to feel like a photoshoot.
I want you to feel safe, comfortable and free to be exactly who you are. That could be emotional and quiet, loud and silly, full colour, full glitter, pub garden, zoo wedding, stately home, drag queens, alpacas, garden games, a magician, dog chaos, or all of the above.
I'm here for the people. Always.

Why this matters
I know what it's like to feel a bit different. I know what it's like to overthink, to worry about being too much, and to wonder if you're doing things "right".
So when I say I want you to feel comfortable being yourselves around me, I really mean it.
My job is to capture that feeling: the joy, the nerves, the daft bits, the teary bits, the weird and wonderful bits, and all the tiny moments you didn't even realise were happening.

The short version?
I'm Kirsty. I love dogs, Disney, colour, big feelings, brilliant humans and weddings that feel properly, unapologetically personal.
If your day is going to be full of love, laughter, personality and maybe a dog, cat, tarantula or alpaca or two, I think we'll get along brilliantly.
