Cookie Policy
Short version: this website doesn’t use any tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you haven’t been asked to accept any.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Some are needed to make a website work. Others track what you do, often for advertising. The law says a website has to ask your permission before setting any cookie that isn’t strictly necessary.
Cookies this website uses
Visitors: none. Browsing the site, looking at galleries and sending an enquiry doesn’t set any cookies in your browser.
Me (when I log in to update the site): WordPress sets a few strictly necessary cookies to keep me logged in. They’re only set for people who log in to the site’s admin area, so you won’t get them as a visitor.
| Cookie | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Keeps a site admin logged in | Session, or 14 days with “remember me” |
| wordpress_sec_* | Secures the admin login | Session, or 14 days with “remember me” |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks the browser accepts cookies on the login page | Session |
| wp-settings-* | Remembers admin screen preferences | 1 year |
Analytics without cookies
I use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. Plausible doesn’t use cookies or store anything on your device, and doesn’t collect personal information. Visits are counted anonymously and can’t be linked to you. You can read more at plausible.io/data-policy.
Other websites
Links to other sites, like my online gallery, client portal or social media, take you to services with their own cookie policies. Those cookies are set by them, not by this website.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. As this website doesn’t set any cookies for visitors, it’ll work exactly the same either way.
Changes
If I ever add anything that uses non-essential cookies, like a social media feed or advertising pixel, I’ll update this page and ask for your permission first.
