The Pumping House – Chris & Christine

I met these two gorgeous humans at a wedding fair and to say it was love at first sight is an understatement… They are just spectacular. I knew I wanted to be apart of their day instantly and would have happily gatecrashed if I didn’t choose me to be their photographer. Only joking… maybe.

They were very early in the planning process when we met and had only just booked The Pumping House as their venue so I did my usual and fully supported all there plans and encouraged them to embrace exactly what they wanted especially when it came to colour. Not that they needed my help but y’know I’m always here to be your hype girl.

On the dayPrep to Pumping The House

I was so lucky to be able to shoot both sets of prep, usually, I’d have a second shooter when both of my couple want that part of the day documented but because we live so close I could go from one to the other without missing anything.

Chris was first I turned up to his door bag on my shoulder and was handed a cup of coffee instantly best morning EVER 😂, yes I’m easily pleased. Shooting at their home was fantastic because they had the best decor I’ve seen outside of those funky hotels, I got to use arcade machines for ring shots and their wallpaper made for a gorgeous backdrop whilst Chris and his best man got ready.

Christine’s prep was more of a family affair which was blooming lovely, her nieces were flower girls and her sister and mum were there getting glammed up too. It’s always lovely getting to know the wedding party on the morning of the wedding because I find as the day goes on I quickly become a part of the furniture rather than a stranger with a camera.

Colour was the order of the day

As soon as I arrived at the pumping house and saw the styling I was in heaven, everything had been thought out and some details had been specially designed by Chris & Christine so their personalities were everywhere.

From the ceremony to the portraits and everything in between it was colour-popping, show-stopping awesomeness. As you can see from the pictures below they had lots of smoke bombs if you’d like to know more about them you can check out a blog I wrote all about them HERE.

Lets Party

The evening entertainment started off with a rhythmic bang. The Ceilidh band got everybody on their feet and it paved the way for an awesome night of dancing, laughing and pizza.

Why The Pumping House is an awesome wedding venue

I’ve shot at The Pumping House a handful of times now and every time I go I find something new to love about it. From the industrial feel to the outside space and the many rooms to explore on the first floor you’re never going to have an issue getting amazing images even on the wettest of days.
